Don't See Your Plan Listed?
Don't panic! Let us help you figure out if your plan is in-network at our office. A vision insurance plan may come in different names. For example, if you have a "Guardian" plan, you might have VSP.
If you don't know the name, we're happy to do a quick search for you. We're one call or text away.
Vision vs Medical Insurance
Vision Insurance Coverage
Most vision insurance plans have benefits that can either partially or fully cover the following services:

-
Annual Eye exams
-
Contact Lens Fitting
-
Glasses / Lenses
-
Contact Lenses

Each patient's plan will have unique copays or percentages of covered cost. All patients are expected to pay all remaining costs that are not covered by insurance. Our staff will provide a cost breakdown with insurance benefits applied to show how much you are saving during your visit.
Medical Insurance Coverage
Medical insurance is applied towards urgent treatment for chronic conditions, infections, or injuries. We CANNOT apply medical insurance towards any vision correction (like glasses or towards an annual eye exam) because refractive errors (nearsightedness vs farsightedness) are NOT considered a medical diagnosis. Symptoms, such as pink eye, styes, or glaucoma, that jeopardize the health of the eye AND the ability to see can potentially be covered by your medical plan.

Out-of-pocket costs can vary per patient. For a better overview of your benefits, please call your insurance plan for better assistance.
